Description
This authentic amazake is made from 100% rice malt using highly polished rice suitable for sake brewing grown in Nagano Prefecture.
The rice is polished to 70%, the same as that used for sake, and this amazake has a clean, refreshing taste with little protein or fat, which can cause unpleasant flavors.
Senkozo's amazake is made with 100% rice koji and is rich in koji-derived enzymes, nutrients, and minerals.
In addition, no sugar, preservatives, or coloring agents are added.
The glucose derived from the starch contained in rice is drawn out by the power of koji enzymes.
During the hot summer months, when people tend to get tired easily, it is recommended to drink amazake cold, mixed with yogurt or soy milk. In winter, of course, it is also recommended to warm it up and dilute it with a little water until it reaches the desired consistency.
