Sarubo-gai is written in Chinese characters as "monkey's cheeks," which comes from its resemblance to a monkey putting food in its mouth and puffing up its cheeks. Add this product, mirin, and ginger to 2 cups of rice and cook for a simple red conch rice dish.
The red clams and other bivalve mollusks used in this product contain crabs.
